Since its inception Avensa and Pan Am contributed to the boom of civil aviation in Venezuela, building airports, and improving existing infrastructure for the time. |
Avensa in 1960 joins with the Venezuelan government and the Venezuelan Aeropostal Line to create the Venezuelan International Aviation Company VIASA as a whole, with the idea of connecting Venezuela to the world, this company absorbed the international destinations of Avensa and LAV, as well as part of its fleet under the wet lease regime, since then Avensa was the airline with the greatest presence in the national territory, it was the first airline to incorporate jets in Venezuela.
